On June 1st, storyteller, Kate Dudding, presented a program that included stories about Willie the Giraffe through an interview with Michael McCarty, a story of the photographer Margaret Bourke-White who was talked about in West With Giraffes, and a new story of Eleanor Roosevelt.  Her colleague, Nancy Marie Payne presented a story about Amelia Earhart.  There was an audience of about 50 people in attendance.  Refreshments of animal crackers, chocolate chip cookies, clementines and water were offered.

Kids Read, Too held an event on June 21st World Giraffe Day. It was titled The Sky That Sings with George Steele.  George started the program by reading his book the Sky That Sings to the audience of about 25 including children and parents. This was followed by a walk outside the library to listen for birds. Nine or ten different bird sounds were identified. The group then returned to the library where sweet tweets were served, winners were drawn for the giraffe door prizes, and book signing occurred. The Open Door Book Store was present with copies of the book for sale.  This was the final TTOB event for the 2025 winning book, West With Giraffes.
