We all know that the Clifton Park-Halfmoon Public Library is one of the crown jewels of our community. Now, more than ever, it is important that everyone knows the impact the library can have on the quality of their lives. The Friends of the Library (Friends) are partnering with the library to launch the “What I love about the library” campaign. We are reaching out to you, as a supporter of the Friends and the library, to request your assistance with this project.
We are inviting you to use this link to share a short quote of two or three sentences describing something you particularly enjoy about the library. For instance, you may want to reflect on the welcoming atmosphere, variety of books, museum passes, children’s library, sensory room, technology programs (Appy Hour), author events, cultural programs (English language learning), art programs, story time or a specific program you attended, or even your experience as a volunteer. We hope to receive a wide array of comments we can use to showcase the depth and breadth of the services, resources and activities the library offers. If possible, please include a picture you took that showcases what you are describing. You might even include a picture of yourself in that photo!
The Friends and the library will use this information in many ways throughout the year. We will feature some quotes and photos in our Book Friendly blog, on our website and social media posts. When appropriate, we will use some to promote an upcoming program or welcome a new season. On your submission, please let us know if we have your permission to list your name and town of residence with the quote and/or photo.
We would appreciate it if you would share your quote by June 25. If you prefer, the library will be offering the opportunity to record your quote orally. Please look for upcoming announcements about this option.
We are deeply grateful to you for your support of the Friends and look forward to reading about the things you love about the library.
