Bus Trip to the Adirondacks – A TTOB Event

Join is for an exciting day in the Adirondacks filled with fun, adventure and history.  Note: times on the itinerary below are approximate.

08:00 am – Depart CPHL parking lot

10:00 am – Arrival at Adirondack Experience (Museum visit & lunch on your own in museum cafe or bring lunch)

01:15 pm – Depart Adirondack Experience for North Creek Depot Museum

02:00 pm – Arrival at North Creek Depot Museum

04:00 pm – Depart museum (Free time in village of North Creek)

05:00 pm – Depart North Creek

06:30 pm – Arrival at library

North Creek is a charming village with shops and cafes. The highlight is the mosaic project which needs to be viewed to be believed. The Depot Museum features the railroad station where Theodore Roosevelt boarded a train bound for Buffalo to be inaugurated president of the United States following the assassination of President William McKinley. We will learn the story of Roosevelt’s trip through the mountains following this tragic event, but much more on a tour through the history, fauna and flora of the region to our north.

The price is $80, children 17 and under $75 and includes bus transportation, driver gratuity, museum admissions. Lunch on your own.

Registration and payment information will be posted to Travel – Friends of the Clifton Park-Halfmoon Public Library by April 1.
