Friends of the Library Community Scholarships for College Tuition/Expenses

The Friends Community Scholarship program assists deserving students in realizing their educational dreams.

The Friends anticipate awarding 2 scholarships of $1,000 each year.

The first $1,000 scholarship will assist students who will attend an accredited two-year or four-year college or university.

Scholarship recipients must be graduating Shenendehowa High School seniors and/or residents of the Library tax district attending another public or private school or being homeschooled.

The 2026 Application and guidelines for this scholarship will be available shortly.

The second $1,000 scholarship will assist a candidate in earning a Masters Degree in Library Sciences.

Scholarship recipients must be enrolled in or planning to enroll in a Masters Degree program in Library Sciences and residents of the Library tax district or an employee of the Clifton Park/Halfmoon Library.
