Spring was in full bloom when the CPH Friends travel group, 23 strong, arrived in London on April 30. We enjoyed beautiful weather right up until our return on May 8. The tour encompassed different areas of southwest England, from the excitement, history and culture of London, to the wild and rugged Cornwall coast, the moors of Devonshire and finally the serene beauty of Cotswolds villages.
Along the way, our tour participants enjoyed some of the local fare, including Cornish pasties, Devon cream teas, and an overnight stay at Bovey Castle, a large early-20th century mansion. Another highlight was a visit to Chavenage House, featuring beautiful architecture and gardens, where the resident family regaled us with tales of the secrets within the walls. We also stood within ancient stone circles in Dartmoor National Park and contrasted that experience with the more well-known – but less accessible – Stonehenge.
CPH Friends is an enthusiastic presenter of travel opportunities, whether for a day, a week in the United States, or a longer international adventure. If you’re interested in joining the fun, registration is currently open for two opportunities in 2027:
